It’s Been a While…

December 21st, 2006

Okay, so I’ve been horrible about keeping up with our family blog…or any blog for that matter!  Not that I have others…thank goodness! *GRIN*  We’ve had a few main events this month that have picture I can link you to!  Victoria and Charlie both had birthdays this month and are 5 and 4 respectively.  Of course, the day after Charlie turned 4, he insisted he should be 5 and had a complete meltdown/temper tantrum when I told him he was still 4.  The kids got their picture taken with someone famous!  And Patrick lost his second tooth!  Wow!  Here you go!  Oh…and I turned 30 this year.  My husband thought it would be fun to throw a surprise party for me…so he got the family and some friends in on it and it was a huge success.  He doesn’t seem to believe me when I tell him I hate surprises!! *GRIN*

I’m going to try to update the blog more after Christmas.  The start of a new year always brings new resolutions to break! *GRIN*

But for now…here is our Christmas Card to you!  May you have a very Merry Christmas!

Storyland, Glen, NH

July 24th, 2006

Humpty DumptyThis past week we went to Storyland with Stephen’s parents.  The kids had an awesome time.  I’m sure we’ll be hearing about Storyland for quite a while!  Both Grandma and I documented with pictures.  I currently only have the ones I took, but as soon as I get more pics from Grandma, I’ll post those too!  Here they are

Bike Riding

June 29th, 2006

ChalkThe kids are having a grand time riding bikes on the new driveway.  They’ve also discovered (thanks to Mrs. Syvinski) that they can create wonderful highways, scenic areas, signs, and road hazzards with chalk!  It’s not just for drawing anymore!  Here are pics of the kids riding bikes and having lots of fun!  There are even a few pics of the scenic areas!

Patrick goes without training wheels…

June 28th, 2006

Riding a 2 wheel bikeHe’s doing it!  He’s riding his friend’s bike without training wheels.  He was shaky at first, but has quickly begun to master it.  All by himself none the less.  He didn’t want help, he just wanted to do it, and so he has…*sniff sniff*.  I’m so very proud of him!

Our Garden

June 28th, 2006

Our GardenIt’s growing…definitely growing!  The peas are so high, everything is coming right along.  There are many tiny green grape tomatoes growing…it’s so exciting!  And at the rate the weather is going…we haven’t even had to actually water it all that much.  But on the off chance we DO get a chance to water it, Stephen has installed a clever watering system.
It’s very cool!

Patrick’s 6th Birthday

June 23rd, 2006

PatrickPatrick has had a very long, drawn out, birthday!  Not that he minds!  Grammie and Papa came up on the 11th to celebrate.  They even brought the cake and ice cream along with presents!  Great Grammie and Great Papa stopped by on the 13th, if I remember correctly, with a gift for him.  Wednesday (his actual birthday) we met up with Daddy, Grandma, and Grandpa at Ground Round in Nashua for lunch.  When it was time for dessert, the waitresses came out singing a special birthday song and Patrick blushed 10 shades of red!  He says it’s the best birthday he’s ever had!  (Which Mommy is thrilled with…she’s more than willing to forgo the huge backyard bbq we had put together last year!)  Throughout the week Patrick also received numerous cards in the mail from friends and relatives that lived to far away to visit.  All in all, his Sixth birthday was enjoyed by all, especially him!!!  Pictures!

Face Paint or War Paint?

April 25th, 2006

Face PaintAt around O nine hundred on the morning of April 14th, I, the Mom, attempted a quick clothing change.  Emerging from my bedroom at O nine hundred and five, I found these three little perpetrators attempting to don war paint.  I am submitting photos as proof of the alleged crime!  Thank goodness for washable markers!

Resurrection Sunday

April 25th, 2006

Better late than never, right?  I’ve promised several people some pics of the kids in their Sunday best!  So here they are!  By the time I got a chance to take their pictures, we were at Stephen’s parent’s house.  Victoria and Charlie had fallen asleep in the van on the way down and were extremely grumpy and uncooperative at first.  Charlie was the most uncooperative at first, so there are a few pics of just Victoria and Patrick.  Then Charlie finally decided to have his pic taken, but by then, Victoria was back to being uncooperative.  We finally convinced them that Grandma wouldn’t give them their Easter candy until we had a nice picture from them.  We even let them do a silly face picture!

Patrick vs. Tree…Tree 1, Patrick 0

April 10th, 2006

Patrick's Nose InjuryI took Patrick for an emergency doc visit today.  He was playing outside, thought he saw a snake (an Anaconda, as long as the kitchen, he said!!!), started running away without looking where he was going, and ran smack into a tree.  He came running into the house screaming and blood pouring out of his nose.  He had a narrow but rather deep cut in the crease between his nose and lip from the middle of his nose and up a little into his nostril.  Poor kid.
The doctor said that stitches would be more torturous than actually helpful, and that he couldn’t “glue” it because it was too close to the mucous membranes in his nose.  He said the best option was to leave it the way it was.  Uh…okaaaay, I said!
Victoria and Charlie were very cute, opening doors for Patrick and asking him if he was okay.  They went to play with the toys at the Doc’s office while we waited to see the doc, but kept coming back to check on him.  So sweet!  Of course, once we were home, it was back to wrestling and picking on each other.  *sigh*  Oh well!  Enjoy it when it happens, right?

Update: Added Picture — Picture was taken several days after incident.

Baking Cookies With Daddy!

February 27th, 2006

Cookie BakersSunday afternoon, Stephen was craving chocolate chip cookies.  Since we’ve established (much to my embarrassment) that Stephen makes better cookies than I, he decided to make them and have the kids “help”!  It was so cute!  He had them taste each ingredient and told them what it did.  Then they got to help stir and spoon cookies on cookie sheets.  He even turned the light on inside the oven so they could watch the cookies bake!  They all had a great time!  Pictures of course!
